Candy Chang: Anonymous Confessions

Artist Candy Chang put a piece together that included 1,500 confessions on wooden plaques. These confessions¬†were written on the plaques anonymously by people in private booths in the Las Vegas area. She got inspiration from Post Secret, Catholicism, and shinto shrine prayer walls to create this piece. ¬†The artist lived in Las Vegas for a month, and turned her studio into a gallery & a place for people to share their confessions. A lot of the confessions were about love, the fear of dying alone, sex, and other such things. I thought this was a pretty cool concept & would really have loved to see this on display. A lot of people are willing to share pretty interesting and personal stuff when it’s anonymous.
