Christmas trees

Since it is the holiday season thought I would do a blog on Christmas trees. Christmas trees come in all different shapes and sizes and even colors. There are all different types of trees but the most prevalent is the evergreen tree. The evergreen tree was the ancient symbol of life in the midst of winter. The tradition can be seen all throughout history of the decoration of evergreens. The Romans used to use the ever green branches and decorate their homes with them to symbolize the New Year. It wasn’t however until the Renaissance that the trees where used to symbolize Christmas.

There are many famous trees that tourists visit each year.

There is the: Biltmore Estate in North Carolina

The Galleria, Dallas

Monument Circle, Indianapolis

Toledo Zoo, Ohio

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Rockefeller Center Tree, New York

Delray Beach, FL, 100 ft Christmas Tree

The world’s biggest Christmas tree in Gubbio Italy

Each tree is famous to it’s area and portrays its own unique design and style
