Video Game Advertising

Advertising is everywhere. It’s in everything. If you live in an a city its prevalent everywhere you look and on every little thing. With the release of Call of Duty Black Ops came the marketing campaign. The campaign is targeted at gaming fans and men aged 18-34.  It’s genius because it’s almost like subliminal messaging. They have the signs in bathrooms, posters on the wall, bus stops, on buses, on soda cups, billboards, mobile advertisements, on the xbox and play station marketplace, signs at the mall, in the grocery store magazines, the list just goes on.  The marketing campaign uses every aspect of your every day life and just tries to push what it’s selling into your subconscious. The funny thing is that it works.
