World Cup Posters

2014 FIFA World Cup is only three months to go. To help you get in the mood I post five most recent World Cup posters. In January 2013 the official 2014 FIFA World Cup poster was unveiled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The poster was designed by the Brazilian agency Crama. The image in the poster depicts a map of Brazil between two soccer players’ legs with a ball. While many of previous World Cup posters depicted a map of the host nation, this artwork is unique as it used the negative space to reveal the shape of the country. The image itself is formed with flowing patterns, which illustrate the country’s natural environment. The image with bright colors gives a tropical look. By using emotional, vibrant design, the poster conveys the concept of “an entire country at football’s service- Brazil and football: one shared identity.”
