Toilet Paper Magazine

I know what you’re thinking: “What could a magazine named ‘Toilet Paper Magazine’ possibly be about??” and if your thinking it might be something weird, you’re correct. Toiletpaper is a bi-annual magazine that features high production, sharp humor photographs and absolutely no text. Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari are the brains behind this bizarre photography magazine. You might recognize some of Cattelan’s work by his 5 horses piece (http://www.designboom.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/maurizio-cattelan-fondazione-beyeler-designboom.jpg).

The magazine and it’s creators have gained quite a bit of popularity since it’s start in 2009-2010. Cattelan and Ferrari have since worked with The New York Times Magazine, Washington Post Magazine, and Photo District News Magazine. I came across Toiletpaper when I was writing a research paper on Cattelan for one of my art history classes and I laughed at these images for a good couple of minutes. I thought they were just so out there and at times ironic. I recently was able to buy my first and only issue of Toiletpaper back in October and I love looking at it. I really hope you guys go and check it out!
