Don’t Watch if you Get Motion Sick

Centriphone: An iPhone video experiment by Nicholas Vuignier is just over a year old, and yet it will remain an icon of YouTube for years to come. Why? A quote by Leonardo DaVinci explains well; “Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.”
Vuignier invented an uncomplicated device that allowed him to swing his camera (a regular iPhone) in a circular motion around his body while skiing, while keeping the lens pointed at him. At normal speed the video is disorienting at best, but if you slow the speed of the video down it becomes a masterpiece of film. On paper it doesn’t sound like much, but I assure you, each frame of the footage he captured could stand by itself as a work of art.
