So I found this really interesting website…

The website is called “myNoise” and it is a website that contains a plethora of ambient soundscapes, or “Noise machines”. I came across this website more than a year ago, and I thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

There are dozens of noise machines available on the website, and they are extremely immersive, assuming you have headphones on.

For example, “Circuit Bending” you’ll feel like you’ve been zapped into the digital innards of a motherboard. If you adjust individual sounds right you can even lay down some sick beats!

If you’re looking for some soothing sounds to help put you to sleep, try any of the rain noises, like “Tropical Rain” or “Rain on a Tent.” You can tweak the   Or, if rain isn’t your think, you can listen to a kitty cat purr! Yes, there is even a noise machine for a cat purring.

My personal favorite is “Flying Fortress,” which puts you straight in the belly of a B-17 bomber aircraft. The eerie hums of the engines are a strange mixture of soothing, and intimidating.

My only criticism of the website is that getting to the actual sounds can be a little bit confusing from the front page. The “Online Noises” button is at the bottom of the front page; it will take you to the noise machines. Other than that, this is an excellent website.

The website was created by Stephane Pidgeon, who lives in Belgium, I believe.
