Every time I enter to Victoria Secret. I see the store has different sections so its costumers can have more options in buying bras or lingerie. These sections have style which makes Victoria Secret a successful brand. With that being said, style is a must that designers to create their own identity. Oscar Person, director of the master program Strategic Product Design at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft considers design is part of everyday life and everyday products could be also considered art objects.

The style of products is important in the marketing field because it represents the brand and clients can see the difference of identity that each designer or artist has. The development of new design skills needs more attention; these skills help designers to create a variety of styles. Adding style to something is a rough process but it is part of success.

Also, I do believe an artist can have a lot of styles, but just one will be recognized as its main style. For example, Picasso had different styles from Surrealism to Modern Art; however, his main style was Cubism. I think most of the designers are going through this phase of trying some many styles and choosing which one they prefer. Finally, developing more than one style helps us know better as designers and also to create our identity.

    I agree too. Having many styles is distracting, and I think some companies succeed because of their special style that customers can identify instantly.

    I agree, when I go into looking to buy some such as a longboard I consider which brands style I prefer. Essentially all longboard brands sell the same product but it’s the their style that distinguishes the brands apart and builds a community.
