Collapsible Straws

What could be more refreshing than an iced cold coffee on the hot summer day; or any iced drinks of your choice? I love to drink cold beverages from a straw, especially while I am driving. Not only by drinking from a straw could prevent spillages in the car; also allow me to pay full attention to the road without me have to look down to find the opening of the coffee cup.
Currently, there are two main types of straws on the market, and the first one is made of traditional plastic, the second one is made of heavy duty paper. I do not like the paper one at all, by the time I am halfway done with my drink, the straw started to break apart. But the plastic straws just bad for the environment.

Meet FinalStraw, a reusable and collapsible straw that is so compacted and easy to clean; one Finalstraw can be used for over 500 times. With a straw that is so compact, you can take it anywhere you go. You can also save money in the long run from buying plastic straws over and over Again. Most importantly, FinalStraw could reduce the plastic usages in the fast food and coffee industries.

I’m really impressed with this design, especially the fact that they specially designed a squeegee cleaner. Cleaning is one of my main concerns with reusable straws.

I really like this idea because I think it is a great alternative to plastic straws that hurt the enviornment. My only concern is that this seems inconvenient to carry a straw around and clean it so much. I wonder if there are any other ways to make it easier to be ecofriendly, I think starbuck’s sippy cup lid is pretty great.

I think the idea of a reusable straw wouldn’t work because no one wants to carry a straw all the time. A better option would be creating a straw with a biodegradable material.

The usability of this is great, but I’m with kreategu, I would not want to carry around a straw all the time!

Great design! I love it when there are design alternatives to wasteful products like plastic straws. The design also looks like its very packable because of its folding feature. I might have to buy this for my little sister that loves using straws.

I agree with everyone else! I think the concept and design is great, however I can see people finding it a little inconvenient to carry and clean

This design is great! It’s one of those “I wish thought of this” ideas. This can also reduce the large amount of plastic that is in the ocean.
