AirPods: Ruthless Battery Killers

AirPods are an Apple sensation and everybody wants them. Before the creation of the wireless earbuds, the brand’s EarPods was the only choice available. Their design was standard with connected wires and a volume remote. EarPods met all the requirements of normal earbud functions such as listening to music or making phone calls. Why then did Apple need to upgrade?

New Frontier of Headphones: AirPods

After the release of AirPods, customers were delighted by the change especially because the earbuds came with a tiny wireless charging compartment. Barring the wires, AirPods have the same design as EarPods. What makes the design irritating is the fact that the phone must have the Bluetooth feature switched on for the earbuds to work. Active use of the Bluetooth feature wastes significant amounts of phone battery. When using EarPods the battery life is not sucked dry because the Bluetooth function is not needed.

Everyone should reconsider buying AirPods because they will find that the Bluetooth upgrade can kill their phone battery faster. Since customers receive EarPods with every iPhone purchase, nobody needs wireless earbuds that cause battery life issues and cost too much.

I’m generally not an Apple user of any device because of the constant upgrades that they make and the inability to change part out mainly in computers. The way of creating computers and laptops limits their life span to the life of the internal components. I appreciate the information on the Airpods and feel even more opposed to Apple devices.

In memes or in normal conversation, I often see Air Pods associated with wealth. I believe Air Pods have become more of a status symbol, or a reason to brag. Keeping track of them seems difficult. In addition to this, the cost of Air Pods in tandem with the likeliness of losing track of them seems hard to work with. Normal earphones are cheaper and connected to one another. This makes them easy to keep track of and lowers the cost of replacement. These are just other points to keep in mind while remembering they also destroy your phone’s battery. Laugh at me for my frugality, Air Pod users. I’ll be the one laughing when I’m up ~$160 after your Air Pods break, are stolen, or are lost. Though, admittedly, they are stylish.

This is a lot of great information for people to know before they consider getting Air Pods. I never got them because I knew it would be just another way for Apple to take my money.
