Let’s Be Bright

Bright colors can bring a bland design into a successful masterpiece. It is a great way of bringing a person in and making your design more interesting. For example, Book Chicka Pop’s popcorn bags stick out in any store aisle.  It is a great way of showing how bold and bright colors can be brought together to create a cohesive design. It gives the packaging a playful demeanor without having it look childish.

Bud light has also been trying to use bright colors for their packaging lately. They started to use bright colors when they were promoting their 2016 music festival in Austin Texas. They used the colors from the poster on their cans and bottles. Their consumers loved their new packaging that they brought it back for the following years.

Some people are scared of adding color to their design but I feel like bright colors are making a world a more colorful place.

Big, abstract designs for packaging are popular these days. I do believe bright packaging is effective, but you don’t want to overdue it and repel people away from your product.

This is such an interesting topic to me, since I struggle with creating and refining color schemes and palettes. I also agree that bold color schemes are essential to making a product stand out, especially in a sea of blander designs.

This is so very true. Learning to use colors correctly and to your advantage can definitely go a long way. These brands have successfully learned how to do so and their products are standing out significantly amongst others.

That is the power of color coordination and color theory. These design elements can make or break a design.
