Inspiration

Agia.org has an interesting section called Design Journeys Archive.  It is under the inspirational tab.  In it you will find links to various graphic designers and their personal design stories. Some of these stories really are inspirational and build appreciation. I read one story about a man named Saki Mafundikwa. He came to America when war broke out in his homeland in Africa.  He had always been interested in drawing and decided to try doing graphic design. He was quite good at it and continued his education until he received a MFA in graphic design.  Mafundikwa eventually moved back to Africa and built a graphic design school. Graphic design helped Mafundikwa and he, in turn, helped  inspire others through graphic design. Link

Where in Africa did he build his school? What country is he from in Africa? Just curious. Wouldn’t think there are design schools in Africa. This is very cool. Graphic design is definitely all around us, all around the world.
