Being a design student today

Being a design student isn’t easy. Many people think art majors don’t have as much work to do as other majors such as biology or business, but in reality we do just as much if not more. So much time is spent doing preliminary thoughts and sketches, and then you still have to execute those ideas onto the computer. Whoever said art was an easy major has it all wrong! I have learned that making a really good design takes patience and diligence. For example, in my graphic design class my teacher would always encourage us to ask questions, and always try and challenge ourselves. Because of her and the advice she gave, I feel as though my work has gotten stronger and that I always attempt to take on challenges. I have really began to appreciate design and all the work that comes with it. Even though it takes forever, I’m pleased with the end solution.
