Rock, Me, Hard Place (in that order)

It happens to the best of us. You run out of ideas. Put your pen to the paper and draw.. absolutely nothing. I don’t know how everybody else gets past the creative block but I have a few ways to get around it. The method to escaping my madness depends on the amount of time I have. With a few days to get something done, I take the time to visit museums, be it online or in person. I believe that all new ideas are influenced or affected by the old ideas. Why not refer to the old ideas that are recognized as the best? Let’s say I’m only working with a few hours, then I take a walk. Fresh air can work wonders after siting crammed under your desk hunched over with squinted eyes. Besides, art is a reflection of real life. Take note of the wonderful world around you.

i completely agree with you. i do the same thing! just last week, I was stuck working on a project, and i mean STUCK. my eyes were burning from the computer screen and there were just zero ideas coming from my brain. so I took my dog for a walk around town, got some fresh air and a new scene, came back home, and literally finished my project. it was great 😀
