Ecological Business Card

cards2cards1The Ecological Business Card was created by Advertising Agency, Fischer Portugal, Lisbon, by creative director Diogo Mello, art director Marco Martins and copywriter Rafael Pitanguy. Fischer Portugal designed an ecological business card for an environmental consultant, Andrea Romani.

They replace traditional card stock with rubber stamp because using paper, even recycled, is not good for the environment. The advertising agency decided not to print any cards at all, but created a rubber stamp to turn re-usable material into business cards. A rubber stamp with information can be stamped onto any paper and random piece of materials like cardboard, flyers, envelopes, receipts or whatever you might have on hand.

Their new ecological business card introduced new ways of recycling, saving money and protecting the environment. Any stamped materials turns into a unique, earth-friendly business card. There are many business cards that are made to be eco- friendly. Perhaps, this rubber stamp is the greenest idea by far. The concept of ecological business cards is beautiful but you would probably have to carry this plastic stamp all the time.

i think this is a great idea! it may seem less professional to some, but I think it forms itself as a pretty strong statement. because it is a different approach, it would be something i would remember over others.

The fact that the concept is so innovative and that it carries a strong environmental message in itself definitely compensates for the lack of “professional look”. The oportunity to become memorable and stand out from all the other cards is unique in every stamp given.
